The Cadiz Region of Spain

December 4, 2013 By Andalucia Travel Guide

Cadiz Province truly has everything one could expect

There are a great number of attractions and no matter what you are looking for in a holiday you will find it here.

This coast is my personal favourite, the Costa de la Luz. There are huge white sandy beaches and, as usual along with beaches, some of the greatest seafood ever! You can find lovely tapas bars all over Andalucia, however, please try and tour the ones at El Puerto de Santa Maria.

Here you will find some great towns and cities, among them my personal best, Tarifa, Bolonia, Caños de Meca.

Away from the coast you would also find another of my favourites, Castellar de la Frontera. With its beautiful castle and hippy market.

Remember, this area is also very famous for its sherry, so please do not miss a spectacular sherry tasting tour through Jerez de la Frontera.

The province is also the home to the great Parque Natural de Grazalema (Grazalemas natural park). This consists of beautiful mountain ranges. Grazalema offers plenty of great activities for all, like walking, climbing or bird watching.

There are also some picturesque white villages in this province, check out quaint towns like Sanlucar de Barrameda, Arcos de la Frontera and Vejer de la Frontera.

The best thing is that in Cadiz the property developers have not yet managed to destroy its beauty.

I would advise that you decide what is important to you before visiting. Do you want to check out the Cadiz capital or do you prefer visiting little, quaint towns?

There is so much to see and so much to do, that it would be impossible to do it all on one short holiday.
