Where is the best place to go for Gibraltar bars and restaurants?

by John

Hi,

We are going to visit Gibraltar soon and will be staying at the Eliott Hotel. We were just wondering where the best places are to eat or just to go for an evening drink?

I have to say that the best restaurant I have ever eaten at in gibraltar would have to be la mamela restaurant, it serves traditional Mediterranean cuisine. The staff are very welcoming and extremely helpful. The restaurant has a very romantic, spectacular view of catalan bay, a local beach and the food melts in your mouth after each bite! Absolutely fantastic place. I’d recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a truly amazing experience!!

Gibraltar Bars and Restaurants
by: Melanie

Hi John,

There are so many places to eat or drink all over Gibraltar.

However, the best advice I can give if you are here on a holiday is to either go to the Casemates Square or Ocean Village Marina.

The reason I suggest these places is because there is a wide variety of bars and restaurants in the one place so you can pick and choose depending on what you fancy on the night.

Casemates Square is at the beginning of Main Street by the Commercial Centre and has a Subway, Burger King and then has some restaurants where you can have three course meals or snacks… you will find Salsa Fuego (which is also a nightclub in the later hours), Latinos, Lord Nelsons (Live music is also played here on weekends), Allswell, Little Rock and Cafe Solo. As you can see you have quite a few choices.

Ocean Village also has many restaurants, an Irish pub and a nightclub.

You will be spoiled for choice and they are both (as with most things in Gibraltar) within walking distance of the Eliott Hotel
