Exploring the small village of Nacimiento

Following from Tabernas you leave the N340 and take the A92 towards Guadix and Granada. Take the junction with the AL-4403 and follow the signs to the village.

This area borders the province of Almeria to Granada and the village lies in the valley between Sierra Nevada and Sierra De Los Filabres.

Nacimiento is a small village with narrow, winding streets going through the village down to the river.

Its prosperity came from the grape industry in the early 20th century with the wealthy vineyard owners building grand farmhouses in the village hinterland.

I need to warn our readers that the streets of this town are very narrow indeed.

We made the mistake of driving into the village proper and regretted every minute.

On some of the narrow alleyways we only had a couple of inches to spare on either side.

I would strongly recommend that the visitor parks their vehicle at the entrance to the village and then proceed on foot through the pretty alleyways in order to explore this small village.
